Thank you for choosing  GO Tutor with Melissa and I look forward to working together.  I would like to share my policies and information as follows:

• My fee is $45.00

 

• I have completed a December 2023,  Police Criminal Background Check and Vulnerable Sector Background Check.

 

• I tutor 6 days a week and throughout the summer, please book in blocks of at least one or two months. This will reserve your tutoring space and eliminate losing your space.  Parents, please call 416-573-8344 and provide correct information and I will gladly find a time that accommodates you in my calendar.

 

• Sessions are  pre-paid at the time of booking a lesson. E-transfer and cash deposits for prepaid sessions.

 

• Parents may send e-transfers, deposits received by the end of the month prior to tutoring, will receive the discounted amount of 5% off 4 monthly lessons.

 

• If you have any credits for missed lessons, when you have given 24 hour notice, you will receive credit you next month.

 

• Lessons are billed at a minimum of 1 hour,  and  then ½ hour increments after the first hour.  If there is a need to edit essays outside of the booked classes via email or paper copy, this will be invoiced at regular fees at a minimum of ½ hour with 15 minute increments.

 

• Rescheduling/Cancelling: Go Tutor with Melissa requires 24 hour notice to reschedule or cancel a session.  Simply call for assistance.

 

• You will be charged  for the reserved lesson time for cancellations which occur with no notice given or under the 24 hour notice required. I do have a wait list for cancellations,  therefore, your space can be filled with 24 hour notice.

 

• Please note that, your space is booked for you, please respect the time of other students. If you are unable to use your time there are other students that will benefit who are on my wait list. If you need to cancel, please do so before Friday, for cancellations that occur over the weekend and on Monday.  You will be charged a fine for last minute cancellations. 

 

• Referral discount: $5 off your next lesson is offered to students that you refer to GO Tutor with Melissa. Word of mouth is always helpful and I try at all times to live up to my reputation of providing excellent service in the community!

 

• Youth Mental Health Counselling: For personal consultation(s), I offer mental health counselling with over 30 years’ experience as a Child and Youth Counsellor, specializing in mental health concerns, learning disabilities and autism, who can offer expert direction upon request and advocate/support students with school administration teams.

  I have supported well over 1500 students and donated my time to many others in the last 30+ years of operation in York Region and Markham. I have now entered my 8th year in Barrie and Simcoe County in 2024, and have success stories, thanks to my fabulous families who work with me.  Call to connect with me any time.
