About Me

My name is Melissa Griffith, and I have been a tutor since I was 17 yrs old. My pleasure is found when I see the light shine in children's eyes when they understand a concept.

I was lucky to work with people who inspired me to continue working with students and mentor them as they grew. This was a time when there was not a lot of support given in schools, I donated my time for years to students who needed support. This gave me the opportunity to be a part of a very exciting time, when there was not many after school tutoring clubs.

Now, there are many after school clubs, but not all of them cater to students who need help with their homework or who need mental health counselling sessions.

I have seen and partnered with many tutors and teachers over the years, and heard people's thoughts and ideas as to what they think a student needs. I have tried my best to fulfill the role, I felt was needed.

This encouraged me to leave the school board after 30 years and continue tutoring and supporting families, so that they can start their journey of  building success in their children today!

Advocating for families and children encourages them to have a voice in their journey, so speak up today and begin your journey.
